Colour in Storytelling

In the movie Beauty Inside, different colour schemes were use to represent different emotions of the characters. At the start of the film it has a very dull blue and grey colour which presented the main character's remorse and loneliness as he changes as a person every time he falls asleep and wake up.
As he slowly met the girl he likes, the colour scheme slowly changed into more yellow & orange colour scheme.
