BSA 331 - Week 2

In this weeks class, we talked more on our story and how we would like it to go out story wise.

I initially had two ideas for mine. One being the classic mafia vs cop infiltration/insider or a story where it starts in a interrogation room and the mafia tells the story to the cop.

I would like to work on both ideas first and see how it goes from there. Another movie that gave me the second idea was Bad Genius which is about cheating in exams and finding a loop hole in where they can make money off it.

There was a scene in this movie where the characters were individually questioned by each other to see if they would betray one another, this revolves around them explaining the situation then the scene playing after.

I would like to try and achieve something like that for my second idea. Style and story wise of this movie, I would recommend watching it.

BSA 331 - Week 1

In this week's class we went through introductions and as well as the handbook. Other than that we went through a rough idea of what we want to do for our project.

As for me, I would like to try to do something on the lines of a Crime genre. I believe this would be fairly challenging and terms of getting the right actors and having a script that actually drives the story.

I was inspired by my recent love for crime films like New World (2013), The Merciless (2017) and The Departed (2006).

  

The act of betrayal and having their trust broken really intrigued me in these selected films and I would like to incorporate something like that along the lines of my story when I come to it. I might also play with different Crime film styles in the future and see what works best for my story.
