BSA 331 - Semester 2 - Week 6

This week we went over to Dunedin for the NZIFF. This was a different and new experience for me as I have not been to a film festival before. Unfortunately, my expectations of a film festival was different and it did disappoint me a bit with the lay out of the whole event.

A film that we watched was Stray and having a small Q&A after the film was really great as well.
Stray was Directed by Dustin Fenley

In my honest opinion, I found the film a little bit too slow to my liking and at times was hard to understand. Even though it was a slow film, there were a few things that we as a group noticed such as the "Master Shots" that he used rather than a mid shot and close up shots. It was said by Dustin that it was more a personal preference of his and felt that a close up had to be earned throughout the film to be used. One thing that I really like was the main actor who made the story more compelling. I think without the actor they used for this film, the film would had been different from what it was in a way of a story being told.

Update on location and actors:

Due to the nature of my luck, I have decided to pull out from the location as the owner gave off a very "no money, no talk" vibe. This has now brought me back to square one in terms of location and I will have to look harder.

As for my actors, I have yet to get any replies yet.
